Mats Jonasson’s talent as a designer attracted attention early on, when he started work as an apprentice engraver at the glassworks in 1959. Over the next few decades he worked with many of the most respected contemporary glass artists in Sweden. During this period, he developed that natural style of his which he’s since perfected.

"Our forests have captured the hearts and minds of people since time immemorial", says Mats. Inspired by the natural world around him, he has opened his mind to create his distinctive masterpieces in the finest Swedish crystal. Nowadays, this son of the glassworks is represented all over the world.

Ludvig Löfgren has a long and solid education and experience of both art and glass handicraft. He has among other things a degree from Hovedskou’s Fine Painting School and the College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. He has obtained his handicraft education at the Glass Schools in Kosta and Orrefors. With his unique design he takes the traditional Swedish glass into the future. Since August 2013 Ludvig Löfgren is one of Målerås Glassworks’ five designers.

"The handicraft is, in all its parts, the way I express myself. It is visible in all I create," says Ludvig Löfgren.

After escaping the horrors of war in Bosnia , Robert Ljubez ended up in Sweden at the end of 1992. Experiences from engraving and drawing in combination with an artistic talent led to a job at the Glassworks in 1996. At first, Robert Ljubez worked as an engraver, but he soon became Mats Jonasson’s right hand man. Robert’s time at Målerås Glasbruk has provided him with invaluable knowledge of the unexpected possibilities there are in working with crystal.

Stockholm based design studio Färg & Blanche was founded in 2010 by the Swedish designer Fredrik Färg and designer Emma Marga Blanche, born in France. 
As a studio, they work across a wide variety of fields, collaborating with established furniture brands.
Known for their experimental stance, where each expression informs the other, they effortlessly move between the exclusive hand made one off and the industrially produced, without ever losing their distinctive touch.

Klaus Haapaniemi is an internationally acclaimed artist and designer currently living and working in Berlin, Germany. Haapaniemi’s approach is mainly based in narrative - each project possessing a rich story translated into the studio’s signature intricate prints.
Commercially, he has collaborated with a wide range of fashion and design brands, as well as leading visuals for custom-made events, performances and operas. As well as commercial success, Klaus has had his work exhibited in internationally respected galleries and museums. 
The 2018 state prize for design was given to Klaus Haapaniemi by the Finnish minister of culture and The Arts Promotion Centre Finland.

Erika Höglund was born in Sweden in 1971 into a family of artists, where glass and design played an important role in everyday life. As a child she was fascinated by the teamwork that existed between the glassblower and the designer and what they could achieve by working together on glowing crystal.

With this background and a fiercely independent and often wild and fantastic streak of creativity, Erika has opened up completely new perspectives in what can be achieved in the medium of crystal.
